OUR NURSERY ROOMS

Exploring Different Environments

At Jollytots, children are cared for in rooms designed around their age, stage of development, and growing independence. Each space provides a safe, welcoming environment where children can play, learn, and build confidence at their own pace.

BABY ROOMS · 0-2 YEARS

A gentle, nurturing start

Our youngest children are supported across two baby rooms for ages 0–2 years. This allows staff to tailor activities and care to different stages of development while maintaining a calm and nurturing environment. The rooms work closely together and may combine at quieter times, ensuring babies are always surrounded by familiar staff and a consistent routine.

Infant Boulevard

A Warm, Nurturing Start

A calm, nurturing space designed especially for our youngest children. Infant Boulevard offers a cosy, home-from-home environment where babies feel safe, secure, and cared for. Our experienced staff provide gentle support through cuddles, play, and sensory activities that encourage early development.

Daily activities focus on sensory exploration, music, movement, and simple creative play, helping babies begin to develop communication, social skills, and confidence.

Flexible routines allow each baby's individual needs for sleep, feeding, and play to be respected.

BABIES · 6 WEEKS – 2 YEARS

Tender Terrace

Supporting growing independence and exploration

Tender Terrace is designed for older babies and toddlers as they become more mobile, curious, and confident in exploring the world around them. Building on the nurturing foundations of Infant Boulevard, this room supports children as they begin to develop independence, communication, and a sense of discovery through play.

While the environment remains calm and nurturing, there is also space for curiosity, creativity, and a little mischief as children explore, experiment, and express themselves.

"Don't dress us in our best — we like to make a mess!"

TRANSITIONS

Supporting Children
as They Grow

As children grow, they move naturally through the nursery into rooms that encourage greater independence, curiosity, and learning through play. Many children begin their journey at Jollytots as babies and continue with us through preschool and afterschool care.

As children move between rooms, our team supports them with gentle transitions and familiar staff, helping each child feel confident, secure, and ready for their next stage.

We ask parents to fill an easy transitions form to help staff know and follow children's home routines, likes and dislikes, and dietary requirements. Parents can always call or send a message on the Ovivio app to check, ask or update on anything.

We support transition from home to nursery by reassuring parents their child is happy and safe — but also that transition can take time. Some children like to have a comfort object such as a blanket or toy.
